—Could you tell me about your background and work experience?

I'm originally from Urawa in Saitama Prefecture, and I've been living in Tokyo for about a year. After graduating from university, I joined a telecommunications company, worked in sales, and then left. After that, I went to Los Angeles, USA for a year! I wanted to study languages and do pole dancing. Currently, I work as a freelancer, doing podcasting, pole dancing, and also managing business contests for startup companies on a contract basis.

—What kind of work-life balance do you have? What were your reasons for choosing S-TOKYO?

These days, I mainly work from home or at S-TOKYO. I also sometimes go to the headquarters of companies I'm contracted to work for. I only come to S-TOKYO when I want to concentrate.

Also, I've been to various co-working spaces before, but what's great about S-TOKYO is that it's a small space and the staff are actually there, so they connect everyone! With large co-working spaces, some are just like workspaces and there's no communication at all.

Until now, I didn't have a fixed place to work (outside of home), but I know Chichi at S-TOKYO so it's easy to go there, and I like it because my productivity increases when I come here!

—Could you tell me more about your podcast work? (I'm also a fan and listener!)

I started sharing content about three years ago. My partner, who I work with on a podcast, handles the recording and editing, while I mainly manage social media, like TikTok and Instagram. I started out with the target audience being women my age, around 30, who want to get married, but actually, 60% of my listeners are women and 40% are men! Surprisingly, it seems that men are listening because they want to understand women's feelings. I've gained over 70,000 followers on TikTok!

—What is your motto?

"I'm going to make the path I've chosen the right one!" Quitting my job at a major corporation was a turning point in my life. At that time, I felt like I was truly starting from scratch. I threw away everything I had built up—my education, my career—and decided to go to America. I honestly didn't know if this choice would be the right one or a failure. But I didn't want to have any regrets, so I thought, "Since I've made up my mind, I'm going to make this path the right one for me." I've been living with that mindset ever since.

—Please tell us what you'd like to do next!

There are so many! (laughs) First of all, I want to conquer the world of podcasts! There aren't any people who started as amateurs and have risen to the top of the podcast scene. I also want to increase awareness of podcasts in general, so I hope that through us, podcasters and podcasts will become more mainstream. The good thing about podcasts is that you can gain a dedicated fan base, and they require far less editing effort than videos. They're easy to start, so I recommend them to anyone who has something they want to share.

As for my career, I want to start my own business and create a show club! Creating a show club has been my ultimate goal ever since I started pole dancing!
