[Event Report] August 8th is Digital Nomad Day!

#ValveHub

August 8th is Digital Nomad Day!

To celebrate, we made the 1-day usage fee free and enjoyed an open co-working space with fellow nomads.

I chatted with everyone who came after seeing the announcement on Meetup, and gave them a tour of the building while I worked.

For lunch, I went to a nearby cafe called "Fukumori" where you can get a delicious set meal!

S-TOKYO aims to create a space where local and global elements blend together by involving digital nomads from around the world into local Japanese communities.

Digital nomads with a mindset of "crossing boundaries" and "co-creation" will use S-TOKYO as a base to travel around the world and Japan, indirectly having a positive impact not only on individuals but also on the world as a whole.

I hope this space will allow digital nomads to connect comfortably and foster unprecedented co-creation. I will continue to work hard to create such a space!

"Digital Nomad Day" was established on August 8, 2020, by Rootless Living Magazine (Indiana, USA), one of the leading digital nomad magazines in the United States, with the aim of promoting digital nomad culture*1. In addition, the Japan Digital Nomad Association (Representative Directors: Chie Nakano, MOE; Tetsuya Matsukawa; Location: Mitane-cho, Akita Prefecture) also established August 8 as "Digital Nomad Day" in Japan with the aim of promoting awareness and understanding of digital nomads in Japan and spreading understanding of their lifestyle*2.
