Hi, I'm Yuka, a community curator at S-TOKYO.

Nihonbashi Kodemmacho , where S-TOKYO is located , has so many charms that it's impossible to describe them all!

To share this wonderful neighborhood with those interested in S-TOKYO, we interviewed local residents.

We'll be introducing it in several articles, so please look forward to it!

For our first interview, we visited Tokyo Kamon, located just 10 seconds' walk from S-TOKYO!

Tokyo Kamon

-Please tell us about the store's history and concept.

For many years, I gained experience in the floral industry in Aoyama and Azabu, handling floral arrangements for the entertainment industry and decorating for various events. On July 21, 2015, I became independent in Kodemmacho. Currently, I am in charge of interior floral arrangements for Michelin-starred French restaurants and Japanese restaurants in Tokyo. I also continue to be in charge of the floral arrangements for a charismatic rock artist, a role I've held since my time working for another company.

I value maintaining a mindset of constantly searching for treasure (not in the sense of making money) while carrying with me achievements and experience that I can be proud of.

-What are your thoughts on the charm and characteristics of Nihonbashi Kodemmacho?

I feel like this town holds a lot of mysteries, even in a good way.

- For those planning to visit, please tell us about any recommended points of interest in the area or shops (such as cultural experiences or community events).

"Wow! That's scary," I thought when I saw the event being held at Minobu Betsuin, next to Jisshi Park, which is the site of an execution ground.

This is "Ghost Stories - Tales from a Monk in Tenmacho".

That's scary...

This event is unique to a region where history is highly valued, and I would definitely recommend it to horror fans!

Ms. Tsukita from Tokyo Kamon is a very kind person who teaches plants in an easy-to-understand way, even for beginners, and makes them easy to care for.

S-TOKYO, as well as the PERTICA COFFEE cafe on the first floor, have many plants, and Ms. Tsukita selected almost all of them for us.

They carefully considered everything from plants that are resistant to dryness and shade for the office to the atmosphere we wanted for the cafe. Personally, I've also ordered a bouquet from them, and all I had to do was tell them the purpose and the colors I wanted, and they sent me a truly wonderful bouquet!

Plants are essential for gifts for loved ones, treats for yourself, and adding color to any space.

If you ever have the chance, I highly recommend visiting Tokyo Kamon!
