Glocal = Thinking globally, but acting locally 🌍

At "Snack GLOCAL ," we invite local players from all over Japan and around the world to become snack bar owners!

This event offers an exciting yet welcoming atmosphere, like stepping into a deep, local bar. 🎉

In the "Meet up glocal talk session," Negi-chan, Elena, and Ume-chan from "WITH A TREE," a sustainable creative hub in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, that repurposes a former abandoned warehouse, will be speakers, along with Aki from Linnas Design.inc, which operates S-tokyo and is headquartered in Kanazawa. They will delve into Shimoda and Kanazawa from a "glocal" perspective. 🎙✨

During "Snack Time," the members of "WITH A TREE" will act as snack bar managers for the day, casually interacting with guests while offering local snacks. Drinks will also be available on a cash-on-delivery basis.

What is WITH A TREE?

What kind of place is it?

It's a place where adults and children, Japanese and foreigners, students and working professionals, private citizens, politicians and government officials—everyone can come and go as they please. In a former abandoned warehouse with no rules whatsoever, it's a sustainable creative hub where imagination and curiosity are the driving force, without the use of any new materials.

Some people are working, others are playing. Some are sleeping, others are creating art. While respecting each other's freedom, a chemical reaction is occurring through communication and collaboration.

What are you doing?

Led by local people, and involving not only locals but also people from outside the region, we are engaged in activities that generate new local creativity. We are working on "Local Produce (Relationship Population 2.0)," which aims to fundamentally change the concept of so-called "relationship population."
