On July 8th and August 19th, we collaborated with Lancers New Ways of Working LAB on two occasions.

The "Intercultural Exchange Event ~Make Friends from Overseas in Tokyo~ supported by POCKETALK" was held!

The "New Ways of Working LAB Researcher Program," a community that experiments with new ways of working, is currently conducting an experimental project titled "Learn by Doing! If you enjoy learning a foreign language, will your language skills improve naturally? And will you be able to secure overseas work without feeling pressured?" (as of August 2024).

The experiment connected participants with nomads who gathered at S-TOKYO and wanted to learn more about Japan. Over 60 people participated in the two sessions!

Thanks to the support of Pocketalk, a simultaneous interpretation device, even people completely unfamiliar with foreign languages were able to enjoy communicating!

It was a wonderful get-together where we could meet and laugh with people from diverse backgrounds, overcoming language barriers. :)

Event Overview

If you're interested in overseas countries and foreign languages, it's okay even if you only understand Japanese!

S-TOKYO (Kodemmacho, Tokyo) , a hub for nomads living and traveling the world , will be hosting an intercultural exchange event for those who are not fluent in foreign languages. All of the international participants are interested in Japan. There will also be Japanese people who speak foreign languages, so even those who are worried because they can't speak any languages can participate with peace of mind. If you want to make friends from overseas or make more Japanese friends who are interested in overseas cultures, don't miss this opportunity!
